At Bad Ass Bugs, we take shipping seriously to ensure that your live dubia roaches arrive healthy, thriving, and ready to feed your reptiles. We use secure packaging, fast shipping, and optional temperature protection to guarantee the best possible experience.

Shipping Methods & Rates

We currently ship live feeder insects via:

✅ USPS  – Most cost-effective, best for mild temperatures.
✅ UPS 2nd Day Air – Recommended for sensitive shipments or extreme weather conditions.
✅ UPS Next Day Air – Best option for the fastest and safest delivery.

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and selected shipping method.

Shipping Schedule

  • Orders placed Monday – Wednesday: Ship the same or next business day.
  • Orders placed Thursday – Sunday: May be held and shipped Monday to avoid weekend delays.
  • Holiday shipping: Orders placed around major holidays may experience slight delays.

We strive to process and ship orders ASAP, but please allow 1–2 business days for handling, especially during peak seasons.

Live Arrival Guarantee

We guarantee live arrival on all shipments when the following conditions are met:

✅ You select a shipping method appropriate for your climate. We recommend choosing to HOLD FOR PICKUP if temperatures are below 40°F or above 85°F.
✅ Someone is available to receive the package upon delivery. Live insects should not sit outside for extended periods.
✅ You report any issues within 24 hours of delivery.

To claim a replacement or refund:

  1. Take clear photos of the original shipping box and any affected insects.
  2. Email us at support@BadAssBugs.io within 24 hours of delivery.
  3. Choose between a replacement or refund.

Exceptions:

  • If you provide an incorrect or incomplete shipping address, we cannot guarantee live arrival.
  • If the package is delayed due to carrier issues, we will work with you but it will take additional time.
  • If extreme temperatures are a factor and you did not choose the  HOLD FOR PICK UP, the guarantee may not apply.

Weather & Temperature Protection

To protect your order during extreme weather, If temperatures in your area are below 20°F or above 100°F, we may hold your order and contact you for options.

PO Boxes & Hold for Pickup Options

PO Boxes: USPS Priority Mail is the only option available for PO Box addresses.

Hold for Pickup: If you’re concerned about extreme temperatures, we can ship to a local post office or UPS Customer Center for pickup. Just choose the HOLD FOR PICKUP option at check out

Tracking & Delivery

Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number via email so you can monitor your package in real time.💡 IMPORTANT: If you see that your package is delayed or marked as delivered but not received, contact us immediately so we can help resolve the issue.
