By freezing our grains we effectively kill insects and their larvae in a 100% safe way for insect bedding use.  Our freezing process of a minimum of 48-72hrs ensures a 100% effectiveness turning water within the cells of insect larvae ice crystals. These ice crystals can puncture and damage cellular structures, leading to the rupture of cell membranes. This damage is irreversible and leads to the death of the larvae.
